History

The weaving of wool is rooted deep in the culture of Ireland and has remained essentially the same skilled craft from earliest times. Flourishing from the days of tribes and druids, through the great cultural renaissance of monastic learning, to today’s world of haute couture. It is handed down through families, such as the Branigans, like a sacred inheritance and nowhere is it more revered than in the environs of the ancient fortress city of Drogheda.
